Shipping & Returns
Taking into account both the production and shipping time (please see below), most orders are delivered to you within 4 weeks (with USPS or Tracked Economy Airmail). If you really need something by a certain date, I recommend ordering 6-8 weeks in advance, or paying extra for the FedEx Priority Shipping. Please do keep in mind that even with FedEx Priority Shipping, it will still take around 2 weeks to receive your order, due to the production time!
Rainbow Rules is a print-on-demand company. This means that we don't hold any stock - we start creating your item, just for you, after you place your order. Each item is printed and sewn individually, by professional seamstresses and printer operators. This production process normally takes around 3-5 working days, but can take longer depending on the number of items you've ordered, as well as during very busy periods. Once we start production on your order (usually around 2-4 hours after it's been placed), it can no longer be cancelled or changed, though of course it can be exchanged or returned no problem.
We offer worldwide shipping at the same rate no matter where you live. You can choose for either USPS/Tracked Economy Airmail, which is $5.95 per order if your order total is less than $50, or free if your order total is more than $50; or FedEx Priority Shipping, which is $35 per order. Tracked Economy Airmail is shipped by Hong Kong Post on our end, and delivered by your local post office (ie, USPS in the USA, Royal Mail in the UK, etc), and usually takes around 4 weeks on average to most Western countries, but can take up to 6-8 weeks depending on your local postal services and any customs or border checks upon entering your country. FedEx Priority Shipping takes 2-6 working days, and cannot be shipped to P.O. boxes as a signature is required for delivery.
All items ship with a tracking number. For Tracked Economy Shipping, this is pre-generated so it can take up to a week after you get your tracking number, before it starts working. You can use 17track.com to track your parcel before it arrives in your own country, and your local postal website once it has entered your country. Here are the most common ones:
- United States: USPS
- United Kingdom: Royal Mail
- Canada: Canada Post
- Australia: Australia Post
- The Netherlands: PostNL
Please note: in some countries, the local tracking is excellent and shows estimated delivery dates and many details (such as USPS). In other countries, it only registers that a parcel has entered the country, nothing more (looking at you, Canada Post!). This is out of our control, and up to the individual countries' handling of international parcels.
For FedEx, the tracking number will work as soon as you receive it, and can be tracked on the FedEx website.
You may return any new, unworn, unwashed items from our regular web store (Ready To Ship is excluded) within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or an exchange. After 30 days, only an exchange is possible. We are happy to do any type of exchange you'd like: different size, different color/print, different style, or even a different item altogether.
Please note that all Ready To Ship items are final sale, these are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
The return postage is paid by the buyer, unless the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Any exchanges are shipped out to you free of charge. We have local Returns addresses in several countries (US, UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands) to make this process as easy as possible for you).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for my Returns Agents to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
